Just writing to say I love you...

Attention: This is NOT a test, I repeat do not adjust your monitors.  You're reading this correctly, I have returned from the elephant graveyard right to your blog reading device once again… Oh hey there!  How have you been the past three months?  My, oh my, I have been great.  Summertime is always better spent lounging by the pool, sipping cool drinks on patios, and spending some QT with your besties.  Sure, I still get dressed and go shopping and such, but for some reason I have never been much a good blogger during the summer months.  Honestly, I don't think I've cracked open this here laptop since I got my iPad in March! Eek!  I realllllly dropped the ball this summer.

I missed you chickens, I did indeed.  I would totally do a catch-up post, but if you even give a hoot about what I've been up to… you already follow along in my Instagram.  But because I love picture collages (and you probably do too) here is a collection of some of my favorite things I did in the past three months, for your eyeball's enjoyment.

Long story short (too late)... I spent two weeks in paradise, enjoyed a summer of tourist-ing in my own town, spent too many days by the pool (I'm one big freckle,) and there are many margaritas and craft beers not pictured.  

I hope to return to merrymaking more regularly here soon!

ROAD TRIPPIN'

Last day of wedding talk, I promise.  Plus, it's brief and mostly about a party. (I know what you're thinking... geez, Miss B, you aren't the one who GOT married crazy pants McGee!)  Assuming you are still reading, here goes it: We are hitting the road today to drive north for 12 hours!  Memphis to Michigan in a minivan.  I should write a song about this.  Sarah's (my sister, recently married, to Rob, in case you missed it) husband's family lives in Michigan and not everyone could make the trek for the Southern wedding.  They are having a celebration north of the Mason-Dixon line and we are jumping on the opportunity to see our new family and the gorgeous married couple again!

Check out that awesome (change of) weather! Plus, I am freakishly excited to drive through Ohio and Indiana because I have never been there before! Music City Merrymaking

It feels so good to be home!  A weekend trip can really take it out of you! But as I sit here typing, with my trusty black canine at my feet and a cup of tea by my side, I am thankful I got to have a wonderful weekend with my gals!  We left early Friday to drive the three-ish hours to Nashville, TN where our group of two grew to a trio, and then a gaggle of five when the Huntsville, AL girls rolled in. It was so fun to play in the city and try new restuarants with fun atmoshperes! I won't write any reviews here, but if you find yourself in the country music capital, do yourself a favor and find The Patterson House and get a bushwhaker at Broadway Brewhouse.

Country music fan or not, it was fun to listen to live music in a great city!  I've officially brought merrymaking to the honky tonks in town.  Best part of the weekend? Having tomorrow off work! Did you have a merry weekend?!  What city should we visit on our next weekend getaway?

For those who have not visited the good times city of New Orleans, Louisiana... a hand grenade is the tourist drink of choice.  (To many, the one time only drink of choice)That being said, these are the only outfit pics from my trip because I was a bad blogger and mostly walked around with a drink in my hand & chatting away with some new friends.Thanks to Dani for snapping these photos! HEY LITTLE CHICKENS!

I am back from the beach, a little tan... a little tired... did not want to leave but so happy to be home!Happy St. Patrick's Day! The greatest holiday to throw on a green frock & drink green beer and dance to bagpipes.
