Closet Cabin Fever

 skirt: talbots via tj maxx // vest: old navy // button-up and bag: target //
booties: lane bryant // necklace & bracelet: gifts

 When I put this look together and looked in the mirror, my first thought was that I looked like a paleontologist.  Is it the scholarly socks?  Okay, okay, so maybe I don't know exactly that they wear, but I could fit in at a Jurassic Park themed party, right?   It's the vest. Can I make that happen? (Searching Pinterest now...)

I am so over winter that I am rocking bare legs despite the cold and 30% chance of snow.  Crazy, I know, but I am so tired of tights and the frustrating static electricity that goes along with it.  I am experiencing Closet Cabin Fever! I am ready to rock my frocks and booties without threat of frostbite.  I live for leggings most of the time, but I am just so OVER them.  I kind of always get restless and rush in to the next season before the weather begins to properly cooperate!  So, in true Bekah fashion I am already scouring websites and store shelves for must-have items for the approaching Spring.  Keep your merrymaking eyes peeled for a round-up in the coming few days!  Am I the only one experiencing Closet Cabin Fever?!  If you live somewhere with temperatures above 60 degrees... HUSH IT and have a daiquiri for me!

Merry Christmas Waldo!

 turtleneck tunic (old) & leggings: target // booties: barefoot tess // vest: old navy //
 necklace: crack in the walk

Hey look, it's me getting dressed again! Feels good.  I love this turtleneck with every fiber of my being, it has to be like almost seven years old.  Thank Baby Jesus for stretch fabrics...
A little Where's Waldo and a little holiday color combo, I like the idea.
Perfect comfortable outfit for a day running errands and eating lots of macaroni & cheese.
C'est la vie.

Army Green & Sweater Dresses

 {sweater dress: ross | boots: LB | belt: torrid | scarf: target | coat: macy's | sunglasses: michael kors}

Sweater dresses may be one of the greatest fashion inventions since leopard print coats & chicken biscuits.  I stayed warm all day long and beyond that, I was super comfortable.  Gotta invest in some more of these babies.  Also, I didn't even notice until I got to work that my coat, scarf, AND belt all had the same shade of green!  Not on purpose.  The coat is just my favorite, so I naturally grab it most mornings.  I guess it was just an army green kind of morning.  GOOD NEWS! I have finally started my Christmas shopping!  What did people do before they could shop online?!  SO EASY! Have you started crossing items off your shopping list?  It's definitely a good feeling.  Only a few more things to go! 'Tis the season!

Bleu Birds

 {bird dress: target | vest: old navy | belt: UO | socks: thrift store sweater sleeves | boots: nine west | bracelet: target}

I guess that spelling the color blue in French makes it more fancy.  And I am all about the fancy.  Can we talk about how much I love this outfit? It kinda came together in a hasty scramble to get ready.  Sometimes the outfits you throw together come out the absolute best.  I wore this to a failed Bunco Sunday that turned in to a boozed up, gossipy, girly Vampire Diaries (seriously, we are obsessed with this show) kind of day.  Sometimes those days can be the best  :)
This super high knee socks used to be old thrift store sweater sleeves, and I'll be honest, I cannot wait to DIY some more.  I plan on living in boots and socks this fall/winter.  I just finished the best four day weekend of my life, seriously the downtime and friend time was just the refresher I needed! I never imagined how happy getting all my laundry done on a Sunday would be!  Also, facing a four day week that starts on a Tuesday ain't so bad either! Happy Monday to all my chickens near and far and I hope your weekend was fabulous! XOXO, Bekah.
