As the sun was slipping behind the trees on June 15, 2013...

A treasured and beloved little sister wed her soul's complement.

The ceremony and ambiance really were perfect and 

everything felt like a celebration of Sarah and Rob.

It's hard to imagine (even now) that the little sugar bear that used to follow me around everywhere and draw pictures of me in her self portraits is now a grown up, married lady.  But hey, if they gotta fly the coop... send 'em out with a good ole time and a great party!

a tad tribal, a bit bright

It's no secret that I am a super fan of tribal print, but when it comes accompanied by bright colors... I couldn't run to the cash register fast enough.  It was the perfect festive outfit for a SURPRISE party for one of my closest friends on the lake.  Bonfires, best friends, boat docks, oh... and a live band?  Ya just can't beat it!  Hope you had the best birthday, T! 

What about all of my little chickens?  Best weekend ever, I hope!  Don't spill any good gossip because I have not seen The Walking Dead, Downton Abbey, or any of my Sunday night shows!  I did catch some of the Grammys and basically I love Mumford & Sons and I am so glad they won, I hated Adele's dress, Katy Perry had too much boobage, & Beyonce looked great!  JT is back and the good news is: he still has his sexy!  Best dressed, in my opinon, goes to Rihanna (which I never thought I would say)... She's FAB!

Sheer Genius

It's not secret that this Merrymaker goes goo-goo over a dress every now and then!  It's now and then again! eShakti sent me this sheerly amazing dress a few months back, and it was the perfect dress for my first holiday party of the season! (p.s. POCKETS!!!) I am in LOVE with the sweetheart bust & sheer top.  Matched up with a studded, cropped blazer = bingo bango bongo! Oh, and no soiree is complete without my go-to red wedges.  Go check out eShakti! They have an amazing line of fall/winter dresses that are all FULLY customizable!  I wanted this to be a lady-like dress so I chose to have it hit right above the knee.  Gotta love that!!! Let's Talk Booze...

I realize it's about 7 or 9 AM wherever you are in this beautiful country.Or internationally, I have no clue how time zones work- so if it's not morning for you, I hate you.

I digress.  It wouldn't be a crazy party girl's blog without sharing a few cocktails every now and again.Granted... I love myself a margarita, but I am not too picky these days and want to broaden my horizons.My BFF, Carlsworth, and I took a Sunday Funday the other day to catch up and have a few adult beverages.  I found my new fave totally on accident.  We started with our traditonal Bloody Marys, which were unfortunately awful at Belmont Grill, and nothing like our favorites at Zinnie's.
Moving on, I ordered a Bay Breeze (vodka, pineapple juice, cranberry) which led to a Sea Breeze (grapefruit juice, vodka, cranberry) which led to true love.

I realize it's far from a new development, but I LOVE it.  It's actually mentioned in one of my favorite movies, but I had never had one.  So, if you are going out for Two for One Tuesday or whatever tickles your fancy... order one up for yourself (and one for your homie) and cheers with some true deliciousness and take a moment to enjoy the merry moments!

happy 3rd birthday ozzy!

yes, i am the kind of girl who throws her dog birthday parties.  But only so he can get presents and eat doggie cake and see his doggie friends.

but yes i admit it was fun for me, too.

I made this dog cake from scratch, made of ingredients safe for dogs, and it was a total hit.

1 cup white or whole wheat flour 

1 tsp baking soda 

1/4 cup peanut butter 

1/4 cup vegetable oil 

1 cup shredded carrots 

1 tsp vanilla 

1/3 cup honey 

1 egg

Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C), Mix together flour and baking soda. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into a ring mold sprayed with a nonstick spray for 40 minutes, Frost this cake with low fat cottage cheese and decorate with carrot pieces. Store in refrigerator. 

The birthday boy, Ozzy, and his guests enjoyed the cake VERY much.

Don't worry, the adults had their own sweets.  I made these funfetti cupcakes with paw prints to satisfy the human palates. And how much fun is my new cupcake tree?

The party wore out this guy, I think it was a hit!
