All Booties, All The Time

Tunics and leggings are one of my favorite grab-and-go outfits year round, but in the winter I love layering them with a oversized sweater! Also, I am trying to incorporate my boot/bootie collection more this season by going against my usual hesitation to wear the wedges/stacked heels on a random weekday.  With my extremely casual job, I kind of feel silly wearing dressier clothes and shoes, but I just love them so much! I have a massive collection of boots and I need to get them in a better rotation! Does anyone else struggle with this problem?  So if you see that girl with a 4 inch heel in the grocery store on a random Thursday... that may be me.

The day I wore this outfit, Tuesday, I woke up, made my bed, got ready, left the house, filled my car up with gas, went in to starbucks and got my peppermint pike place, and took these pictures across the street.ALL BEFORE 7:15 AM. This morning was a seemingly unimaginable feat to me, on a normal morning. and I actually impressed myself. Not to mention, I never make my bed.
This outfit was an accident, made in record time, and I ended up really liking it. This is my Ke$ha shirt, made dress code appropriate, and a little scarf to jazz it up.A pretty outfit and a more than successful morning = a pretty great day!Lots of love, The Merrymaker.

burrrrr(ning up)

I wish I could say I wore boots and a scarf on a blustery, fall day. But no, I was in such a rush this morning I threw on what I could and ran.  I spent half the day burning up, buuuuut I don't regret it.  I want fall, I NEED fall.  The only thing not cooperating with my wishes is the dang weather. It doesn't feel anything like fall here yet, unless you ask my allergies... they feel like fall.

I went on my lunch break to let my sister's puppy out  get puppy kisses.

Her backyard was perfect to snap some good pics and Spencer wanted to jump in a few of course.

For all of my Shawn Spencer fans, yes, he is named after the detective.

Today is technically my Friday because I have a 4-day weekend for FALL BREAK!

Yay me!  I will probably be spending it relaxing and emptying my jam-packed DVR, perhaps with an adult beverage in hand.  I can't wait. It'll be magical.
