Hippie Hippie Shake

dress: rainbow (old) // necklace, bracelet: gifts // sandals: Payless // sunglasses: target

I always forget how comfortable and easy maxi dresses are! I tend to overthink ensembles from time to time, I love to layer, guilty as charged. However, today I was feeling super lazy (and HOT, we are not turning on a/c just yet.... Yikes!) and this tie dyed little number stood out from the rest. A statement dress, easy necklace, comfy shoes and bim bam dressed. Pretty sure i bought this dress for my first Black Crowes concert and i love the memories associated with it! I really need to invest in some more of these babies for the upcoming summer weather. What do you reach for on a lazy day?

PS My 80 year old grandmother, who suffers from dementia, took my photos today and it was the most fun for the both of us. :) enjoy your day!

Boho Flow

dress, worn as skirt: target // wedges: payless (similar) // top: target
necklace: versona accessories // sunglasses: target (here) // ring & bracelet: gifts

I don't know if it is the mass amount of Lana de Rey I have been streaming lately, but I have felt much more free-spirit when getting dressed.  Plus, we have been blessed with a glorious warm spell when it comes to weather, so I'm taking full advantage.  Initially, I centered this outfit around the loose flow skirt (it's actually a dress, not a real shock to any longtime readers,) but in the end I love how to draped top looks accompanying it.  One step away from one big potato sack, but I like living life on the edge like that.  The sunglasses were just a natural fit for the look... Do you think Vanessa Hudgens would want to be friends? This is about as boho as I get, but me likey!
Speaking of weather, I feel like Spring is in my sights!  I will have some of big Spring wish list items up this week.  Happy hump day and best Wednesday wishes to all of my little chickens.

Hippie Halloween

dress:  ASOS // fringe vest: target (old) // booties: barefoot tess //
ostrich bag: vintage gift // headband: claires // nails: house of holland

My favorite thing about Halloween (aside from the Reese's PB cups shaped like pumpkins) is trying to create a costume with the MOUNDS of crazy clothes I already own.  I had been eyeing this dress for a few weeks and when it went on sale, I was certain that it would be a perfect dress for a Hippie Halloween and forever after!  Even some of my friends mentioned that I looked like I was just dressed like "normal Bekah." I mentioned earlier this week that we celebrated a little early last week by going downtown (and I did upgrade my outfit a little by switching to a Johnny Loves Rosie flower headband.) If I go out tonight, I am considering putting together a Sons of Anarchy outfit with some of my new leather look items!  Do you order, DIY, or dig through your costumes for your Halloween costumes?  What are you going as tonight?

Cheers! Goblin Punch for everyone! xxoo
