town squares + stripes

{leggings, striped top: LB | boots: nine west | olive blazer: old navy | snood, satchel: target | belt: UO}

I hope everyone had a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend, a good break, and lots of turkey.
I know I really enjoyed my time with my extended family. I REALLY enjoyed laughing my face off with my sistahs in the car on the way to/fro Alabama.  Sometimes it's the journey- not the destination.

We took these pictures in the town square of Corinth, MS on the way to Thanksgiving.  We stopped at the most adorable old soda fountain restaurant there, and had amazing burgers + vanilla malts.
It was small town wonderful and I loved it.

the range master

{dark jeans: ross | white tunic: target | vest: rainbow | necklace: gift | combat boots: LB}

Sunday afternoon, my brother invited me to go to the shooting range with him.  He offered to pay, and I am always up for an adventure, so I decided to tag along.  I'll be honest, my first thought was, "OMG, I can wear my new combat boots."

Long story short, if there is every a zombie clown invasion... I have preeeeeetty good aim.

walkin' in memphis

Beautiful surroundings + just being with the people you love can make any day the
BEST day.  Add in a birthday and holiday, and you have the greatest day in February history.

view along the Mississippi River

Sister #2 found lots of awesome driftwood,
  the mighty mississippi

 To celebrate the beautiful day of Sister #1's birthday, we went downtown + ate lunch at our favorite place, The Majestic Grille, walked along the river, got coffee + explored Harbor Town.
We gathered a lot of driftwood and it's really amazing to think that it could have come from anywhere upstream, and now we can use it for crafts or decorating!  Even though it was super duper windy + cold, we had such a good time.

 shirt, leggings, and cardi: LB + shoes: american eagle, necklace: dots
 The wind got a little crazy.  As did the hair.

I really like this outfit because it was comfy + casual, but I felt feminine and fun.  I think those are all important qualities in an efficient outfit.  Oh, and I'm rockin' the frames until this weather can make up it's mind and my allergies subside.

And if that wasn't too much awesomeness for you, here we go:

1.  I want to live in the mountains
2.  I love Memphis football
3.  I would choose to live in New Orleans over any other US city
{Pick the lie + comment with your guess, please!}

oh: and the cake was a WINNER:

midtown adventures

Saturday was such a beautiful day that we (sister #1, sister #2, and myself) had to get out and get our Vitamin D, so we took the opportunity to get our adventure on!
We did not plan to both wear stripes, we just have a blood connection.
We went to Minglewood Hall's Revive Energy Bar for breakfast.
They have a cereal bar, where you mix and match/add toppings, and choose your milk of preference and then VOILA!
Yes, that is Honeycomb, Cookie Crsip, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
(Gummi Bears not pictured)
Sister #1 loved the coffee bar.  AND made a little friend.
Sister #2 strayed away from the cereal and got a grilled cheese, with fruit.

Then after we were stuffed, did I mention it was a BOTTOMLESS cereal bar?, we went to some local antique shops in midtown, but we did not find any treasures... We were bummed but we will give it another go soon.  You should definitely give Revive a visit, they are open from 6:30am to midnight or later.  Free Wi-Fi and bottomless coffee for $5.

What did you do this weekend?
