We are SO close to Halloween! Even though I celebrated a little early (I will share photos Thursday) I am still in the spirit.  You can't really tell because it was so overcast this day, but these "party pants" from ASOS have a fun sheen to them.  I got them at the end of last spring on super sale so this is my first time breaking them out.  I'm linking up with Trend Spin today for Halloween looks in orange and/or black, so be sure to head over there to check out some more Halloween theme colors!

How are you celebrating on the 31st? Trick or treating or a big costume party?  Maybe a big old bag of fun sized candy and a glass of wine?  It all sounds good to me.

Neon, Neutrals, Stripes, and Studs

I wore this outfit to my little sister's engagement party on Saturday night! It was just festive enough, but without sacrificing edge.  Yes, I am that girl who thinks adding studs to a completely girly outfit makes you edgy.  Aaaanywho, the party was a raging success with the most delicious food ever and a delightfully silly champagne toast given by yours truly.  I rarely wear neturals, but I think with the tiny pop of neon this outfit really works for me.  I love the muted tones.  Do you gravitate towards neutrals or loud pops of color?

P.S.  I don't know if all of you feel the same way Memphians feel about our hometown boy, Justin Timberlake, (which is lots and lots of mushy gushy love) but I love his whole CD especially the second radio release:

We made it halfway, little chickens!  HUMP DAY!  I can't believe it will be February in a few days.  I am definitely getting in the Valentine's mood.  That is- lots of hearts, glitter, pink and purple, candy shaped like hearts, love from kids, heart adorned outfits (just wait!), and much more. It is definitely the best holiday colors!  I'm too excited about bright colors to focus on this dark ensemble.  But I do love this scarf... and olive green.  And every merrymaker should own a pair of trusty leopard flats that never let ya down. Sequin bows and stripes make the heart happy!  Also, this t-shirt blazer from Old Navy is totally going with everything I own this fall... it may go down in history as the greatest clearance purchase ever.

I love my new red wedges, that much is true.

I wish they were more comfortable!  It'll be worth the purchase of a shoe insert.

I wore this last night when I hosted a Silpada jewelry party with my sisters... slash I had to change before the party because I didn't think I would make such a mess while preparing food! So I actually changed and wore this top.  Oh well, still love my red shoes.

I have some musical wisdom to share.  If you are searching for the most epic Pandora station- without a doubt it is the Rufus Wainwright station.  We played it throughout the party and I was thrilled with every single song.  And that's a rarity.
