I've never met an ASOS dress that I didn't like, but this one was love at first sight.

I am a leopard print obsessor, that's a given, but this print was different enough to be fresh and fun in another way.  I pulled it straight out of the bag & someone uttered, "Don't you already own that?"

In the famous words of little Michelle Tanner, "How rude!"

This girl might have a closet bedecked with leopard garments in a wide variety of textures and colors, but each piece is special on their own way, just trust me.

Black/White/White/Black

As I was perusing Pinterest for the 56th time yesterday, I came across this idea where you write a letter to ten-years-older-than-yourself you.  (dear 35 year old Bekah....)  Inspired, really.  I attempted it.  Delete, delete, delete.  It sounded like a super sad, poorly written self-help diary entry.  

I don't really need to write a letter to myself in my mid-thirties to accomplish anything.  We all know that in the year 2023, Mrs. Bekah Gosling will be in her space house, wearing the most exquisite tutu on the moon drinking endless mango margaritas (you can't get hangovers in zero gravity, duh.)

In the mean time, I would rather write about sparkles & tutus & lipsticks.

Boots With The Fringe

Ever since I bought these boots on sale, I have been wanting to wear them every day.  Unfortunately I am a realist, and they are lovely, yet non-practical boots.  I whipped them out this weekend for Saturday lunch at a favorite college sub shop, followed by impromptu day drinking at Memphis brewery.  Makeup shopping, LOTS of margaritas, family bonding time! We had the weirdest warm front, but once I fully commit to my tights collection, there is no turning back for me.  Sunday, I got to shower a really close friend from high school with baby girls for her boy and girl TWINS she is expecting in January.  Such a fun way to spend an afternoon!

 As Monday approaches, I am truly excited for the upcoming holiday activities!

First stop, Friendsgiving!  Can't. Wait.

Outfit Repeat & Broken Toes

This was my Halloween dress and I was really looking forward to re-styling it and adding new pieces to make it work year round.  My extensive collection of We Love Colors tights proved perfect with this burgundy pair, but there was only one slight problem keeping this outfit from being truly great.  My three "broken" toes on my left foot.  I use the term broken very loosely, as I am not a professional doctor.  I can speak professionally on the subject of being a very clumsy person, I have tried to break many a doorframe by walking straight into it.  

Long story short, always turn on the light...

I don't love these boots with this outfit, but my poor toes were in lots of pain in just about every other pair of shoes I tried... In a perfect non-broken toe world, I would have slipped on these bad daddies I just bought. Cheers to a quick and speedy recovery for my toes and a super fun weekend wearing Ugg boots & swigging Chardonnay.  Xo

chevron madness

Two things I learned today: 1. I have always had a healthy respect for chevron in all aspects of life, but I super love it on clothing.  I'm ashamed to mention that I just figured this out. 2. I sit down and get up a LOT in my day chasing wild and sweet preschoolers.  This results in major wrinkles by noon.  I'm also ashamed to admit I didn't notice my wrinkles until uploading this pictures. Just to bring you up to date with the thoughts in my head:  I learned that Bruno Mars is going on tour, and coming to Memphis Nashville! = GOOD! Tomorrow is the day of red and pink and purple and sparkles = GREAT! The day after tomorrow, all of the Reeses peanut butter cup shaped hearts in the land will be on clearance = EPIC!
That's all I have for ya today... I am sipping on a QUAD latte and hoping if I close my eyes that it will be Saturday.  Love love.

Electric Blue & Polka Dots

There is nothing like a super fancy dress and electric blue tights to really brighten up your day.  Even if you are just... let's say, teaching preschool.  One needs no excuse to wear clothes that makes the heart happy.  I think we can all agree that the tights speak for themselves, and this is what they are saying:

HEY THERE CHICKENS!

Berry? Oxblood? Maroon? Yeah, I don't know what color the tights are either, but I dig them.

They spiced up a boring black and white striped ensemble and I got a lot of compliments on them!  I sure will miss my tights collection when winter finally leaves, but I think it's an even trade for cute sandals and spring break.  Am I right?

I hope everyone had the best weekend ever! I have to admit, I did not get my preferred amount of R&R in, but I definitely had one of the busiest and laughter-filled three days ever.  I babysat for FOUR different families in four days, had my first Just Dance 4 experience, got in a birthday cake fight with one of dearest friends, and I refused to conquer the mountain of dirty laundry taunting me from the closet.  Come Sunday night all I wanted to do was enjoy a ginger ale and watch Toddlers and Tiaras.

But don't worry, I am in full merrymaking mode this week. 

Bring it, Monday, I am so ready for you.

Grey skies & Gray tights

I wish tights were easier to put on because you bet your last piece of gum... I would wear a pair every day. It may take some effort and practice to get a new pair on just right**, but when they are gray or oxblood, or rust, or olive or even cobalt (just to name a few) it certainly is worth it. They add just a perfect little oomph to any plain outfit, and I am even getting daring. A cherry red dress was perfectly complimented by my cobalt blue tights for Christmas Eve. I can't wait to play with more adventurous colors, but for today... We let the tights lead the way!

Yesterday, the first day back to work after Christmas break was super super hard. I swear that by 4:30 pm, I could easily believe its 9 at night. Winter, I love ya, but ya got me all shook up! Hey, TGIF!

 I wore this on Monday. Things are a little scrambled in my brain, and between wrapping up this week of school & packing for Mardi Gras-- I feel like I am loosing it! The one constant in my life?  These green tights.

They save the (Mon)day... stylishly.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE!Hi there, pretty chickens!My, oh my, I have missed you!  Things have been busy and messy and cray cray around here.First things first, I was in a car accident on Tuesday and I am fine fine fine; however, the state of my car is in limbo until after the holiday weekend.  My family has been great in being there for me and making sure I stay in the Christmas spirit.  I am SO excited for this weekend and spending time with my family and ALL of our dogs. I am posing in front of the doggy stockings! (there are FIVE pups here now! YIKES)
Moving on, I am finally getting time to put on real clothes and get fancy.I love my new short booties and my red tights.I will be so sad when Christmas is over and I may or may not be retiring my holiday color palette before Spring Break.

bright mornings + tights, tights, tights

I am obsessed with these tights, and I hope to order 1400 more pairs so that winter dressing can be as much fun as it was today.  I had no idea what to wear, but throwing these tights on and building an outfit from them was the easiest way to do it!  I know I want rust and a shade of blue, but any other suggestions!?!  I took these pics before work! YAY YAY YAY! BRIGHT MORNINGS! This is so important to me because it's the most guaranteed time for me to get my pics done before I spend the day with 23 4 year olds and begin to look a hot mess! Also, I like the wooded area as my backdrop, like I am an overdressed woods(wo)men.Ha!
