What day is it? Who... am I?

If you read the title in your best Zoolander voice, it is way way funny. Right? Right.  

Truth be told, I have spent the last 48 hours highly caffeinated, super tired, and deliriously happy. Lack of sleep due to good news and exciting plans! My little baby sister (Sarah) is engaged to be married! I am so excited for her and her future husband and their sweet future together. He's lucky we love him, too! (hey, Rob!)

Today, my alma mater, THE UNIVERSITY OF MEMPHIS, plays St. Mary's at like 1:45pm! I forget how cray cray March madness can be! The whole town is cooking up excuses to leave work early as we speak. #gotigersgo

Despite my own personal wishes, I left the house this morning without my tiger blue. I guess I'm distracted by the fact that its supposed to get FREEZING tonight with a chance of snow.

Foil Print Florals

HAPPY FEBRUARY! I feel like my spring fever has really crept in to my wardrobe here lately.  I am oh-so-ready to retire my chunky sweaters and I keep reaching for tunic shirts and leggings with flats.  I'm even tiring of my chunky scarves and boots with socks.  That's why when I got my second shirt from Gwynnie Bee (read more about GB in yesterday's post), I was thrilled to get a sleeveless floral print!  I really hope that cute little groundhog sees his shadow tomorrow because this little merrymaker is yearning for spring even more now! What are all of my little chickens up to this weekend?! I will be working a tiny bit, going out for dinner and drinks with a group of great friends & watching the Super Bowl with family and yummy snacks! I hope lots of fun events are in order for all of you!   CHEERS!

Layered Up

The weather has hit the below freezing mark and I have discovered the utmost importance of layering this season!  Although, I did have to shed one layer by lunchtime, just to put it back on around four.  Silly winter.  Only 5.5 school days until the sweet relief that is Christmas break (sorry in advance to all of my 9-5ers out there.)  How is everyone's Christmas shopping coming along? simple + sweet

No lie, this is my go-to top.  I lost it for a short 2 weeks, by putting it away in the wrong drawer and it was rough dealing with that separation anxiety. It's BACK and as comfortable as ever.  Not to mention it's the easiest piece to work with EVER.
My mantra for getting dressed and out the door by 6:30 AM is layering, layering, layering.This shirt over a dress, a simple necklace and ring, and I'm donezo.
