Happy happy happy Friday, folks! Here are five things rockin' this merrymaker's world today. ONE: I am planning a Great Gatsby themed bachelorette party for my little sister and we are SO excited about it! The deets are hush hush, naturally... but I love researching ideas!

TWO: 

 One of my nearest and dearest is taking me with her to see MEMPHIS at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis tomorrow! I am so excited because I am such a theatre fan, plus when a musical is based on your hometown it's always a good thing :)

THREE: The current sale on ASOS.com is seriously blowing my mind.  Really makes me wish I had not lost my debit card over the weekend, it has been the longest 7-10 business days of my life. How PERFECT would this dress be for the Great Gatsby party?!

 My new Netflix obsession, Hemlock Grove, is super duper grody at times... but it is a pretty decent tradeoff for the eye candy!

This recipe for a Thai Shrimp Salad from Bev Cooks is making me superrrrrr hungry right now.  I may be hitting up the store this weekend to make this delicious dish on Sunday afternoon!

Drinking And Tweeting and other Brandi Blunders I am loving the tragic car wreck that is this book!  Do yourself a favor and grab your kindle and a glass of wine and devour this easy read!

ASOS Curve Shift Dress in Animal Print I have been toying with buying this dress for over a week now! It is a great style, print, and color.  The best news came Tuesday when Gwynnie Bee added it to the inventory!  I can rent it before I buy it.  Check out more Gwynnie Bee fabulousness here, here, here, oh and here.

Embryolisse Lait- Creme Concetre (24-Hour Miracle Cream) I got this great goodness in my October Birchbox, but did not get around to using it until recently and I. LOVE. IT.  It soothes this ridiculously dry face skin I have to deal with until winter decides to leave me alone.

I have acquired a newfound affinity for gin and grapefruit juice lately!  Adding a tad of mint sugar and giving it a fancy name just makes it more fun!

Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Sea Salt Texturizing Spray

I am testing out this product for Influenster and I love the way it adds a unique hold to my hair.  Adding some dry shampoo and NYM spray helps give me great hair on day 2 AND 3 after shampooing! Woohoo!

Books, booze, and good beauty products are a guaranteed merrymaking combination. It's definitely the best way to relax this Friday!  What are you chickens getting in to this weekend?

Facebook Auctions & Etsy Shopping

So I have become unusually obsessed with Facebook auctions and Etsy purchases here lately. I think it's because I'm insanely busy and booked solid seven days a week, so when I have downtime... I'm online shopping! If you're not familiar with Facebook auction sites, you should really check them out. Some of my favorites are Bid Girl, Anna's Armoire, Simply Chic, and Accessory Concierge. There are tons and tons that sell everything from smocked baby clothes to boutique items.. You name it! I'm in it for the designer inspired jewelry at a fraction of the cost. PLUS its way fun to get packages in the mail! My most recent steal:

Then we have Etsy where I could browse for hours and hours and find one handmade treasure and its totally worth it. I'm in love with my new, super simple, gold love knot ring.

 

Also, rounding out the online shopping I finally found a iPad mini case that encompasses my love for leopard in the simple style case I was looking for. PERFECTION!

The holiday season is drawing close... we all feel that, right?Well if you haven't felt it allow me to share with you that IT IS!I know this because it takes me 15 minutes to scrap ice of my car windows in the morning.It takes me foreeeeevvvvveeeerrrrrr to get my kids to stop talking in class about their elves on the shelves.(Snowflake was making snow angels in the flour on the counter!!!!! MINE was baking cookies!)And the few glasses of wine a week have become even more festive when enjoyed out of my holiday stemware.Here are five more things that are bringing the merriment:

Hiya chickens.  It's been a long week- I am not gonna lie I have been sticking to the comfort items in my le closet. Blue dress, tribal scarf, orange flower.  Love my color wheel, you know that.Happy weekend, we made it. This girl BIG plans this weekend!FOOTLOOSE comes out, so excited about this film.  If you didn't know the director, Craig Brewer is a local Memphian (also directed Hustle and Flow, Black Snake Moan).  He's awesome, dancing is awesome, I CAN'T WAIT!(cut loose! foot loose!)Also, celebrating a friend's birthday at one of my fave gastropubs + planning on painting the town all kinds shade of red and I will be kicking off my Sunday shoes.

Hi there, my chickens.

I am coming to you live from the alley between Costco & Ashley Furniture Home Store.What can I say, I like to live on the edge.

A little afterthought on my day: I played it too safe with jewelry and felt accessory deprived once I got to work.  I need to wear my green belt more. I love my new tribal top, and I can't wait to wear it whenever I don't have to make it appropriate for el worko.  Yeah, that'll be fun.  You'll never guess what is wrong with these pictures?  Did you notice? Yep, one of my shoes broke.  I don't know when.  No one told me.  I didn't notice until seeing this:

I promise I did my Friday dance again today, I just forgot to document it.

It's the second Friday in a row that we got a JEANS day at work! These days are exciting! Especially because I got to wear my new skinny jeans. :)

I am so excited at how this week FLEW by and now it's the weekend again! 

Time for a party with friends, a festival in Midtown, & a somewhat fun sunday.

Are we doing anything fun, my little chickens? Hope so.  Be good! 

PS I have been giving the radio dial a few turns lately, and this song came on and I like it a lot.

I'm not a die-hard country fan, but I catch an occasional tune that I love.  Especially ones by cute boys.
