Lots of Birds & New Specks

I'm obviously a sucker for a good bird print.  Whether it be a dress, tunic, or top... I grab it right up. I think my closet is one half leopard print and the rest is made up with tribal prints, birds, and black. Also, there are not enough opportunities to wear my 4 inch heel fur lined faux hiking boots... WHAT IS THAT ABOUT? Maybe some of new blogging besties and I can find a solution to that? Ladies? Bleu Birds

I guess that spelling the color blue in French makes it more fancy.  And I am all about the fancy.  Can we talk about how much I love this outfit? It kinda came together in a hasty scramble to get ready.  Sometimes the outfits you throw together come out the absolute best.  I wore this to a failed Bunco Sunday that turned in to a boozed up, gossipy, girly Vampire Diaries (seriously, we are obsessed with this show) kind of day.  Sometimes those days can be the best  :)

This super high knee socks used to be old thrift store sweater sleeves, and I'll be honest, I cannot wait to DIY some more.  I plan on living in boots and socks this fall/winter.  I just finished the best four day weekend of my life, seriously the downtime and friend time was just the refresher I needed! I never imagined how happy getting all my laundry done on a Sunday would be!  Also, facing a four day week that starts on a Tuesday ain't so bad either! It's A Bird! It's A Plane! It's The Merrymaker!

I am so excited to be posting today!  Today is my official last day of summer, I got back for inservice and registration for the rest of the week.  The summer FLEW by, eight weeks of summer camp will do that to you.  I am super thrilled to get back and meet my new kids, and get on a recurring schedule of actual clothes (JEWELRY! Gasp!)  Field trips, crafts, and tennis shoes were fun- but I miss my sparkles and my dresses! Speaking of dresses, I saw this beauty in Target and knew it had to be mine. Birds! Collared! Sleeves!
I love the vintage feel of it.  I wore it to the movies once I finally had the time to go see Batman (It was only recently that I was super disappointed to find out that It's a BIRD, It's a plane! is actually Superman... but my heart will always belong to Bruce Wayne Christian Bale.) Whatev.

Bunco & Birds

First of all, HAPPY MAY! Can you believe it?

I wore this outfit last Sunday to my first game of Bunco.  It must have been a good luck outfit because I WON!  They asked me to join their secret awesome Bunco club, so now I will play once a week.  It is such a fun game, and you drink delicious adult beverages and gossip with some great friends.
