The Best Kind Of Blues

 {dress: c/o eShakti | tights: we love colors | booties: lane bryant | studded blazer: gordman's | necklace: dots | clutch: navoh}

Bear with me, but as this month ends- I am suffering from the winter blues.  I just want it to end!
The weather outside may not be cooperating with me, but my closet is so ready for warm weather, candy colored accessories, and spring dresses!  When one of my favorite online shops, eShakti, contacted me and wanted me to review something from their Spring line- first stop... dresses!  They carry their entire stock in size 0-36W, and they believe that every one is a different shape and size, and that your clothes should be able to be as unique as you are. (I picked out this fine number right here) My faaaaaavorite thing about eShakti is that they offer customizations to every style. Shorter? Higher neckline? Add some sleeves? Pockets/no pockets? SURE THANG! I wanted a sassier style for nights out ((I wore it out just last Saturday)), so I opted to go for a shorter, tunic length.  It gives it more of a tutu look than a church dress- and that's prime merrymaking material right there, chickens!  LOVE IT!
See my previous fabulouness from eShakti here and here.

GOOD NEWS:
: eShakti is offering 20% off your order today JUST for readers of Matters of Merrymaking!  Give yourself, or someone you love, with the gift of customization!

Lots of Birds & New Specks

{bird print tunic: simply be via gwynnie bee | leggings: old navy | boots: nine west | earrings: bid girl}

I'm obviously a sucker for a good bird print.  Whether it be a dress, tunic, or top... I grab it right up.
I think my closet is one half leopard print and the rest is made up with tribal prints, birds, and black.
Also, there are not enough opportunities to wear my 4 inch heel fur lined faux hiking boots... WHAT IS THAT ABOUT? Maybe some of new blogging besties and I can find a solution to that? Ladies?
Be sure to come by tomorrow because the le winner of On Your Mark! will be announced.
Who do you think made the top of my list?

Have you guys heard of Firmoo glasses?  I had seen them reviewed by some of my fellow bloggers, and I was thrilled when they asked me to pick out a pair and review myself!  I was born blind as a bat! Glasses since first grade, contacts since fifth.  The glasses at Firmoo are extremely affordable and they come to your mailbox in a case with a leather pouch and glasses screwdriver! Fancy!
I picked out this style, and filled in my RX online.  I loved the quality of the frames, and even though they are plastic, they are a fine quality. (They do non-prescription glasses and sunglasses, too!)  The best part? Firmoo has a "First Pair Free" program and you can get your own pair of glasses FOR FREE from the company with just paying shipping!  I think that it is a great opportunity to try a new style and take a fashion risk!!  Get those nerdy glasses that your inner hipster heart has been craving!
Go visit their site, and let me know what glasses you LOVE!
Disclaimer: I was sent these glasses free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

Product Love: Big Sexy Hair Texturizing Hairspray

Big Sexy Hair FLIP IT OVER is my new best friend.  For those of you who do not know, I have naturally curly hair that I blow dry straight, followed by a flat iron or a barrel for waves.  On my wavy days, I have been searching for a miracle and at Ulta... I found it.

After I did a light wave today, I flipped my head over and sprayed and scrunched and by 4 PM, I still look fresh... even after battling pre-schoolers all day.

WINNER WINNER!

(P.S. I did a lot of soul searching with the wonderful employees of my local Ulta, and we decided on this one.  Had I not been completely satisfied, they have a 60 day return policy.  MONEY BACK- if there is still 50% left in the bottle!  You can't go wrong! Run out and try products to your heart's contents, my little chickens.  Report back.)

Misikko HANA Air Hair Dryer Review

If you have been around this little blog for any period of time, you may have noticed that I am a beauty fanatic as well.  I am always game to try a new trend, product, or styling device.  When Misikko.com asked me to review their premier hair dryer, the Hana Air, I was completely ready to accept the challenge.  It's rated as their best hair dryer and was voted the as the Premier Hair Dryer in 2010 and 2011!

Preface: It is important to note that I have naturally curly, unruly hair and like (almost) every curly headed lady out there, I have always coveted sleek, silky straight locks.  I have long been searching for products and tools to make my hair that way for the longest time now.  The hair drying process used to be a mundane step that I loathed daily! Not anymore...

First Impressions:  The packaging on on a product from Misikko.com makes you feel like a kid at summer camp getting a care package from Mom.  I mean, they go the extra mile to make you feel special!

Product: It's lightweight, it's sleek, and it's got a long cord. CHECK CHECK CHECK!
I plugged in this baby and it blew me away, literally. The power and wattage is truly impressive.  It has many different settings from cool, warm, & hot.  This is honestly the first dryer I've owned that truly blew cool air when you wanted it.  I like to blast my locks with cool air after blowdrying and this dryer really did it!
My hair felt softer and there was ZERO static.
I can honestly say that the HANA air hair dryer passed every curly hair ---> straight hair item on the check list.
Best of all, I was frizz free :)

(Pic on right: After using the dryer, very smooth hair with my natural wave)
(Pic on left: after straightening, my hair has never been this sleek and smooth!)
Even for those not hair care obsessed (like me), this product will simplify your beauty routine and make you feel and look lovely!

 I know I have my eye on the Hana Elite Ceramic Flat Iron.
