Dots & Stripes

Stripes and Dots.
Dots and Stripes.
Skirt refashioned from this dress: I wore HERE but permanently refashioned it last night so it is a skirt forever.
I really loved this outfit today. But, I think it was the good hair day that was the cherry on top.
MY! This week has flown by, it's already Thursday, chickens.  I mentioned on Twitter that I am seriously considering a FULL MONTH (October) of a SHOPPING BAN for myself.  Anyone want to be my sponsor?  I probably won't wake you up from sleep with urgent calls for the TJ Maxx clearance section.... Probably.

The thing is... I just need to take it easy because I don't think I really NEED any more clothes right now.
I am going to focus on refashioning items I already have for the upcoming season--like this dress!
  Easier said than done, howevs.
The one exception to said ban would be anything Halloween costume related... that's gotta happen.
I love Halloween, but I hate pumpkin pie.
Go figure.

  1. Morning Bekah!!! Awww, your hair looks awesome CHICadee. :D I love how you turned that dress into a skirt. Great snipping girlie!!! Plus i adore dots. You look great! I love Halloween too! It's so much fun! Have an awesome day my friend. ((HUG))

  2. Good hair days are the absolute best! =) You look lovely, as always!

I'm always impressed by people who manage to refashion items. I've tried to do it a handful of times, but my skills with the sewing machine are all sorts of special (i.e. limited to the extreme) so on each occasion my efforts failed spectacularly. =P

I LOVE the dots and stripes! =) I'm building up the courage to mix patterns. I just don't want to look like I was dressed by a four-year-old. hehe

  3. Wow....that IS good hair!!! I love god hair days. Don't look too closely at my blog, though because I haven't had many of them lately. That dress turned skirt is awesome - I think it makes a much better skirt, anyhow. I wish I had the nerve to do some pattern mixing, but I just haven't gotten there yet. I want to...but, alas...I haven't.

  4. Maybe you could participate in the October Dress Project? There are more than 100 women who've agreed to this challenge in 2011!

  5. That is such a cute dress! but I love it more as a skirt! Great job :)

  6. I love love love this outfit, I want it all! You look so pretty. I'm the same way about Halloween, but I do hate me some pumpkin pie!

  7. What an adorable outfit. I love that you put that sweater over the dress. Great change to make a super cute outfit.

  8. I love how you refashioned the dress. The outfit is so cute. We can sponsor each other. No shopping!! I don't need anything new either. I had plenty to wear.

  9. Bek this is super awesome combination!!!

    love love Em

  10. I LOVE this. I never wear skirts, which makes it tough for me to create looks like this, because layering patterns never has the effect of wearing them together but, you know, not ON TOP of one another. I adore this look on you!
