One Week

Only a mere week until Christmas Day!  People are crazy year round, but give them a national deadline of when to get shopping done for every person they have ever met, and you will really see them shine.

The part I am having the most trouble dealing with is not using all of those glorious promo codes arriving every 15 minutes in my inbox on gifts for myself.  I still have a few shopping items to pick up and stocking stuffers to grab this weekend! Do you still have a shopping agenda or are you the girl with the fully stocked tree skirt?  I'm actually taking a lot of pride in my wrapping art this year.  Blame Pinterest, blame Martha Stewart (she is a walking Pinterest board) but I spent an absurd amount of time with twine and fresh evergreen pieces on the items I wrapped in black wrapping paper and decorated with a chalkboard marker.  Tis the season!  I can almost taste the weekend, folks! 

And then it is go time...

Move outta my way, I've had a quad latte and I'm ready to buy all the things! 

And we'll never be royals...

How ya goin, little chickens? Divine intervention, if you will, has provided me with some unexpected inspiration and I have done some fine tuning here at M of M!  New look, new header, new button, everything!  I (still) hope to get on a regular posting schedule.  I miss all of you!  You'd be surprised how time consuming eating Starbursts and watching Parks and Rec can truly be.  Til next time, stay merry.  PS: are you as obsessed with this song as I am?

FIVE THINGS FRIDAY

The holiday season is drawing close... we all feel that, right?Well if you haven't felt it allow me to share with you that IT IS!I know this because it takes me 15 minutes to scrap ice of my car windows in the morning.It takes me foreeeeevvvvveeeerrrrrr to get my kids to stop talking in class about their elves on the shelves.(Snowflake was making snow angels in the flour on the counter!!!!! MINE was baking cookies!)And the few glasses of wine a week have become even more festive when enjoyed out of my holiday stemware.Here are five more things that are bringing the merriment:

Hey Ya'll! It's ME... the merrymaker who is so happy this is the last week of school :) :) :)Seriously, I have never been so happy to greet summer with open arms.I can't wait until I can get back in to a routine that involves taking pictures of these amazing clothes I have been wearing.  First my batteries died, then my camera cord went AWOL, then I had no wi-fi, and now I am just too lazy.  GO figure!

Like I threatened-

I stole one of my dad's old work shirts and did my own thing with it.

I used the flower to cover up the name on the shirt... I wish I had this pin.

That certainly would have done the trick.

It was also intensely hot (and sunny...hence the shades and the weird eyes below, so this shirt will just be hanging out until winter.  I took these pics Saturday morning to go bike shopping with my sisters.

I got a purple Columbia trek bike, more for the workout than the looks, I guess.

I wish I could tell you I've been burning up the trails- but we have had severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings the past two days and I have barely been outside, much less cruisin'.

I picked up a lot of great items over the last few days- tops, shorts, shoes... I can't wait to show you them! Again, when the rain stops... I'm on it.

I hope the weather is treating you lovely where you are!

Oh, and my new clutch says hello... he loves you too!
