Somebody's 23!!!!! (and yes, that is a Travis Tritt birthday cake.  She was a unique child.) HAPPY birthday little baby princess. I can't believe the little sister is going to be 23, that means I am getting old! But really. Sarah I am so proud of the beautiful, brunette little lady you have become. You make me happy because you are always yourself, and you are not afraid to speak your mind. You love people for who they are, and you want the best for them.  You are caring and sweet and you love my little black dog alllllmost as much as I do.  Once upon a time, you were drawing pictures of  the both of us on your self portraits, and jumping naked on the trampoline as a toddler....  and now you are getting married this summer!  You are silly in the best of ways and I love being your sister.  I hope you have the merriest day ever.  I love you more than meat loves salt.

Birthday Break!

Baby girl turned 22 in style.  We hit up some happy hours after work & then had dinner in midtown.  She LOVED her presents from me (Minnetonkas & MK sunglasses) and we really had the best time.  We checked out some new restaurants and new-to-us places! SO. MUCH. FUN!  The gazebo pics are from outside the new Italian place, Cortona, which is where Dish used to be in Cooper-Young! GO THERE! The bartender was super nice, and the happy hour specials are cray-zay!

Dear beautiful, baby sister:You have grown up in to such a lovely human and I have enjoyed spending almost every day of that human life with you.  We laugh, we get mad, and we laugh some more.  You used to draw pictures of me in your self-portraits and we shared a room for most of our childhood... You're my little Pocahantas and I will always be her best friend even though I don't know her name because you wouldn't let me be Pocahantas.

It is still SO dark at 7am nowadays.  Like it looks like straight up nighttime.Today was pink day at the school where I teach.  I discovered I don't own pink.Also, I tend to buy prints WAY more than solid colors.These are the things you learn when scouring your closet for a certain color.Moving on...Today is an important day!My big brother, Brandon, is 28 today!Tonight we are going to our new fave restaurant, Mary's German Restaurant, to celebrate!HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRANDON!
