Favorite Friday Dress

Have you ever made a brand new purchase, let's say an oversize, striped t-shirt dress, and then you find such complete happiness with it that you find it almost impossible to not wear it every other day?

Yeah... me neither.

This dress sometimes gives the appearance that I cut a neck hole in a bed sheet and ran out of the house, but it feels like a huge t-shirt and I just can't find an excuse to not wear it almost every day.  I've worn it like over half the days since I bought it.  #noshame

And if you can't wear your favorite dress on a Friday, then when can you?

 This time of year is great for many things... the weather, the food, the holidays...

One of my favorite things that happens is the PROMO codes!  Companies flood your email boxes on the daily with promo codes giving great deals 20% off, 30% off, etc, etc.  All the stars align and you can grab the items you have been lusting over since Fall collections hit the stores.

I've already scored some deals in store at Old Navy (this sweater) and my long awaited Sephora splurges will be arriving later this week!  Tis the season, after all!

Let's all pause to freak out... 40 days until Christmas!

I'd Catch A Grenade For Ya

For those who have not visited the good times city of New Orleans, Louisiana... a hand grenade is the tourist drink of choice.  (To many, the one time only drink of choice)That being said, these are the only outfit pics from my trip because I was a bad blogger and mostly walked around with a drink in my hand & chatting away with some new friends.Thanks to Dani for snapping these photos! Practically Perfect In Every Way...

Today's post? Better late than never, little chickens.

New perfect necklace alert! Got this beauty at F21 yesterday and it's bright beads mixed with neutral beads are blowing my mind.  I'm also dying over my perfect new lipstick.  I definitely have found the one everyday lipstick, with the perfect amount of color without screaming too loud.  MISSON: ACCOMPLISHED! Oh, and because I love you here's a video:

Two things I love in this world: (A) scary movies & (B) sweaters that double as blankets.  If you're going to make the investment in a sweater blanket, you want to make sure it's fashionable (good print, warm fabric, fun texture, etc) as well as long enough to cover your eyes, in case of a frightening occurrence.  (see picture above) The covering of the eyes is key to, say... completely enjoying (A).  Good news is this sweater (blanket) passed all of the tests.  Oh, you should also go see The Woman In Black... get yourself a sweater blanket first!

Yes, that is the sun coming up behind me, and yes, that is scary fog trying to swallow me whole.It looks like a pre-dawn horror movie up in here.Crazy weather in these parts.  Oh, and I keep crazy old lady hours.I desperately wanted to recreate this look today, but I couldn't find stripes or gingham anywhere clean.I need to get this closet in order soon, before I have nothing to clean to wear but cocktail dresses or Halloween costumes.The preschoolers just wouldn't know what to do with Tina Turner as their teacher.Scarred for life.

  I first met this sweater in Old Navy, and from the moment we locked eyes on one another, I knew it was meant to be.  The cut, the print, the length... it was all perfect.We are still madly in love, and have asked these boots to join us in this outfit for now and for all eternity.They gratefully accepted.
All I can say is that I hope everyone someday will fine their one true love sweater.

It rainy, it's cold.  Besides the frizzy hair, I am content :)

Shopping Ban update:-I have a folder on my desktop labeled "What To Buy In November."-I am still spending money on going out to eat... I think next month should be no dining out month.-Yesterday, I went thrifting.  On accident.  I never mentioned it in my previous post on my shopping ban, but I think thrifting can be forgiven.  I didn't go crazy with my purchases, just two items necessary for winter!

A little afterthought on my day: I played it too safe with jewelry and felt accessory deprived once I got to work.  I need to wear my green belt more. I love my new tribal top, and I can't wait to wear it whenever I don't have to make it appropriate for el worko.  Yeah, that'll be fun.  You'll never guess what is wrong with these pictures?  Did you notice? Yep, one of my shoes broke.  I don't know when.  No one told me.  I didn't notice until seeing this:
