seeing red + bad boots

Love my red blazer, wish I could wear it more often.  It's not that it is particularly hard to style, but 1 out of every 4 outfits makes me feel like a frumpy dumpy in it.  I am glad that this tunic allowed me to make the red in it POP by adding the blazer.
Now, these boots were a glorious purchase, but after wearing them for the first few days they made my right foot ache.  Like I am talking about shooting pain in the arch of my right foot.  So, they are solely saved for short trips, until I invest in some inserts or something. YIKES!I am all for suffering for beauty/fashion/a date with Ryan Gosling, but come on... it's not worth tendonitis or anything.Anyone had a similar experience?Hope you all are having the most glorious day... I will- once I change it to the comfy pillow that is my Ugg boots. Hollllerrrrr.

The Zoe Report delivered these lovelies to my inbox this morning, making me gasp with fascination and also puzzlement because I will (probably) never spend $1695 on shoes.  But if I were- these are them.

gloomy days + car woes

These pictures were taken in a haste to get out the door today in the dark, gloomy, rainy 7 am morning.Leave it to my older by age, spunkier in spirit sister to be a dear and get my outfit pictures taken.Not to mention, she (and her loverly roommate) is housing me and chauffeuring me during this no-car period.
If you didn't know, I was in a bad wreck right before Christmas...blah blah blah, car is totalled.My insurance company only let me have a rental car for 30 days, and 17 of those days I didn't know if my car was totaled or not. So, long story short... I am behind on finding a replacement car.
Oh, and I'm a poor teacher so my car need stipulations are great and my choices few.Keep me in your thoughts/prayers/people-to-send-money-to list :)This merrymaker is severely lacking in merriment as of late.

navajo sweaters + the boots with the fur

  I first met this sweater in Old Navy, and from the moment we locked eyes on one another, I knew it was meant to be.  The cut, the print, the length... it was all perfect.We are still madly in love, and have asked these boots to join us in this outfit for now and for all eternity.They gratefully accepted.
All I can say is that I hope everyone someday will fine their one true love sweater.

Makeup Brush Cleaner, Urban Decay Naked Palette (not Naked 2, but still fabulous!) and NARS lipstick in Heat Wave.Let's just say I am a huge fan of both!

My third and final splurge were these Nine West (Clara) boots, they were over 50% off and just had to come home with me.

Looks like I will be eating cans of soup and grilled cheese until pay day, but you bet I will be dolled up!What are you wishing for this Wednesday? In the mood for a splurge?? :)

weird weather + new boots

 It is 65 degrees this morning, with an expected low tonight of 24. Yeah, I know... I don't get it either.
I got this shirt yesterday at my new favorite thrift store, The Salvation Army Family Store, in Bartlett, TN.  It's really clean and in a great (HUGE!) facility.  If you're in the Memphis area, I reccommend checking it out!  My mom is going back on Wednesday (half off everything day) to grab me some skirts!
