Comfy Camo & oNecklace review

jeans: h&m+ // shirt: dots // wedges: dolce vita // cocoon shell: thrifted // necklace: c/o oNecklace

Let's all notice really quickly that my hair is growing longer and looking pretty stellar. (Big dreams, baby steps)  Woo! Now, that is out of the way we can move on to what is really important.  Like any normal fashion loving girl raised in the 90s, I fascinated with Carrie Bradshaw.  Her infamous Carrie necklace was super popular when the show was on the air, but has made a bit of a resurgence lately.
It is synonymous with her character and now I have one of my own from oNecklace that will accompany me to all of my merrymaking adventures!
I love the perfect size of the necklace, along with the fact that I could customize the length of necklace to find the right chain length for me!  I was half-tempted to get my twitter/instagram handle (@missbekah) BUT I definitely liked the iconic Carrie style.
Check out other styles and color options here.
Have the most terrific Tuesday! I'm sure they have 2-for-1 margs somewhere...

eShakti Bridesmaids Dress Review

If you did not catch yesterday's post, my little precious baby sister got married in June!  I was serving as co-MOH with my other sister in the bridal party, along with some other good looking ladies! When the bride, Sarah, told us she wanted green dresses we search HIGH and loooooow for a dress we all liked, in green, that we wouldn't hate wearing in 100 degree weather at an outside wedding.  It was hard, hard, hard.  Not to mention we are all different ranges of sizes, heights, and skin tones.
Long story short, and a lot of Google searches later, the Bride decided a variety of shades of green and different styles could be fun and fresh for the ceremony. WINNING!

I've talked about eShakti a few times before (here, here, and here.) They have customized dresses in a HUGE variety of sizes that can be made specifically just for you, your mom, or your great Aunt Sally. They have a line of bridesmaids dress, y'all.  Seriously, you could outfit a Duggar wedding with this site.  I cannot explain my excitement when they sent me a dress from the line to review!
I picked the Hailey style in emerald green, and I was thrilled from the get-go.  It is hard for me to order a generic bridesmaid dress because i am not a generic size nor height.  eShakti did not disappoint and I totally give them a five star review for making this MOH's duties a little easier and A LOT cuter.
My other sister (far right) and my sister-in-law (far left) loved the idea of picking their dress, adjusting the hem and neck line, etc.  All three bridesmaids above rocked eShakti on Sarah's big day!

eShakti Product Review

When I was contacted by eShakti to review a product from their online store, I was more than thrilled to scour the pages and pages of their wonderful items.  Upon visiting, I was sold by the fact that the eShakti offers CUSTOM clothes ALL available in sizes 0-26w.
At eShakti they believe that:
"One size does not fit all and all sizes are not created equal."
HOW EMPOWERING! In addition to that gloriousness, they offer customizations to fit YOUR body!   Fashion should be for everyone, not just for my sample size gals.  Whether you are chest heavy or rockin' some trunk-age... you can order clothes made to fit your measurements.  We all know I am a tall chick and I prefer not to show everyone my goodies when I wear a dress.  I entered my height in the measurement form to ensure that my custom-made dress was perfecto!

So you bet your candy apples, it was hard for me to pick an item to review.  I decided on this ruffle waterfall dress, because we all know how I feel about ruffles.
I got my package in the mail just about a week after ordering and FELL IN LOVE.
The fit is perfection & the custom length is juuuust right.
The quality is excellent and this dress, and soon MORE eShakti items, will be living in my closet forrreeevvveeerrrr.  Be sure to check out all that eShakti has to offer you and YOUR body today.
I promise you will not be disappointed because after all- they design + you customize :)

current obsession: {hair products}

So it's been a hot minute since I reviewed some products! I have been buying cosmetics and drugstore products like they are going out of style, but today I am going to strictly stick to my new favorite hair products.

I have naturally curly hair that you will 99.9% never see in it's full curly glory, unless we are swimming or camping, and let's be honest-- I don't do camping.
So that being said, I use many a heat tool and the stress and damage can leave your hair feeling frizzy, broken, and dry as straw.  I was doing my weekly stroll down the aisles of Walgreens, my own little method of therapy, when I spotted this new product by my dear, old friend John Frieda.  What a gem, that guy.
1. John Frieda
FULL REPAIR
shampoo and conditioner
Revives overworked hair without sacrificing full body.  I really like the smell of this shampoo/conditioner, but then again I don't normally splurge on salon brands known for their smells! I felt like the quality of both products was well worth the $6.99 sticker, BOGO too!

Just with the shampoo and conditioner, I noticed my hair truly felt softer.
But I think the golden ticket really came with this little bottle:
2. John Frieda
FULL REPAIR
sheer mist

The sheer mist is just added to the ends of your hair, and is advertised to make the brittle and damaged ends of overworked hair softer and more manageable. It makes blow drying a BREEZE, and I can't stress how much softer it made the ends of my hair.  I literally made everyone feel it.  Everyone!
**If you prefer creams to sprays, this comes in a cream as well!

Final Say: I think this is the perfect new product for thick, unruly hair or hair that gets hair dryer/flat iron everyday.  Maybe not for the thin and fine haired gals out there.  Have you tried it? Been interested in it? Let me know.  Comment it out, merrymakers.

current obsession: {cosmetics review}

I'm not the kind of girl to find an AMAZING product and keep it to myself.
Thus, I want to share with you TWO of the amazing drugstore cosmetics items I have purchased and tried out in the past few weeks.

1. L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professionals Color Correcting Primer
I purchased the Green for Anti-Redness.
$12.99 at Walgreens.

Description:
Professional Color Correcting Primers glide on smoothly to immediately correct and improve the look of your complexion.

Review:
I have had serious issues with allergy hives and welps all over my face and neck, and I was desperate to find a product that would mask the redness without being too heavy.  The green tint of the primer not only covered up the red FLAWLESSLY, but it works as a great primer for keeping my makeup in place all day.  I was so surprised to get such great results because some of the online reviews spoke of a "Shrek" like glow. But, listen chickens, if you HAVE redness cause my blemishes or what-have-you, then the green tint is PERFECT.

Conclusion:
You will have to wear a foundation or powder over it.  It is not a one step fix it, but if you have redness that has not been fixed by any other product, give it a chance. I hope you try it and have good results, let me know!

2. Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Tinted Moisturizer (w/ SPF 30)
I purchased the product at Walgreens, for $12.99 on sale, regular priced $16.99

Description:
Clinically proven Total Soy Complex and natural light diffusers work to naturally even out skin tone and immediately reflect light to bring out skin's natural radiance.

Review:
I have been out of tinted moisturizer for quite a while.  I used to use the Cover Girl product, but I believe it was discontinued.  In the summer months, I like the wear little makeup and the coverage of a tinted moisturizer is just enough coverage PLUS sun protection.  The Aveeno is everything I could have hoped for and more. The coverage is superb, and when I wear it on bare face, I don't have to wear foundation or powder.  We all know how important it is to wear SPF ALL the time, and this product makes it a one step #WIN.

Conclusion:
Don't forget how importnat it is to also apply sunscreen products to your neck as well.
The product is a bit steep, so check for a markdown for best deal!
I wear the primer under the moisturizer and have perfect color and coverage ALL day!

Let me know if you try any of these products.
Happy hump day, chickens!

current obsession: {leopard nails}

In the past, whenever I feel a strong love or obsession with an item, I have shared it here.  I have decided to make it a recurring feature, because there is never a shortage on things to obsess over.
Previously, I coveted pleats and went ga-ga over feather extensions.
Today we are going to get loony over
leopard nails.

Photo taken with Instagram

If you read any beauty blogs, or pay attention to the drugstore deals- you might already be familiar with Sally Hansen's SALON effects: Real Nail Polish Strips.  The leopard ones are called Kitty Kitty.
I will definitely be back to purchase the houndstooth and lace effects once these come off.

If you are at all weary of giving this a try because it seems crazy or you don't think it will work:
STOP IT! SHUT UP! and GO GET THEM! :)

I was skeptic but I wanted to see what they were all about.  They are amazing.  Once you get the hang of how to apply them- You can be done in 12-15 minutes! They are supposed to last up to ten days, but I am only at hour 12.  I'll keep you updated on that. Even if they last 3 days, that's longer than I go without a manicure chip.

At Walgreens, you can get a pack of 16 nail strips for $9.99, but they are often on special.
Have y'all tried these before?
Any other nail polish trends you are loving on?

Hope you are having a beautiful Sunday!
Enjoy your friends and family today :)
